  • AFRICA DOUBLE CHALLENGE

In 2008, Camilo Benke took the challenge of being the first athlete in the world to combine two different endurance sports in a short period of time. He faced a double journey challenge running the South African Ironman, and just a week later, climbing the Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in the African continent, in Tanzania.

  • SEQUENCE OF EVENTS INCLUDING ARIZONA, CERRO PLATA, AND ACONCAGUA

In 2009, Camilo Benke completed in 29 days a sequence of challenges including the Ironman Arizona, completed in 9 hours and 52minutes (finishing eleventh in his category), and climbing the summit of Cerro Plata (6000 meters) and Aconcagua (the highest mountain in the Americas.)

Events sequence according to this schedule:

11/22/2009 - Ironman Arizona
12/12/2009 - Cerro Plata Summit
12/21/2009 - Aconcagua Summit, climbing the Aconcagua in 6 days (It usually takes 20 days just to climb up the Aconcagua)
